Ask Channel v2
October 2, 2026
During the past few months I have been fixing issues and improving features. Eventually I grew tired of looking at the responses being a bunch of quotes and summarizations being not that useful.
To make this app become more useful for myself, I set out on using the methodology on the /ask page (I’m feeling lucky mode) and incorporate it for a channel.
I’m mainly watching YouTube with an intent on seeing if its relevant, or good. Therefore, I want to actually watch videos, not just receive a barrage of quotes. Video watching is the primary use-case.
Now, on the home page, users can try out a new mode: Ask.
Ask mode let’s you watch the answers and have the channel tell you what the importance is at the same time, but focused on one video clip at a time.
The quality of the sequencing and relevance of these clips suddenly becomes far more important.
I’m lazy, don’t make me think. Show the best clips, right away, right now.
It should feel like we’re asking the creator. Heck, as if they were talking to us.
This is the first step - can we at least source the most relevant parts of what you’re asking for and stitch it together for an intuitive and seamless experience.
