What A 20 Gram Creatine Mega-Dose Does To Your Brain - Dr. Rhonda Patrick

Creatine supplementation at 10 grams per day can benefit brain health, not just muscle, by increasing brain creatine levels and improving cognition under stress like sleep deprivation. Dr. Rhonda Patrick reports that higher doses (20-25 grams) can attenuate cognitive deficits from a full night of sleep deprivation, and she personally takes 10 grams daily to avoid afternoon fatigue. She also notes that creatine may help vegans and those with methylation issues by reducing homocysteine, but emphasizes it's not a nootropic in non-stressful situations.

Used Tren At 19 And Became An Angry Cheating Psycho

A 19-year-old's experience with trenbolone shows how the steroid can induce paranoia, aggression, and reckless behavior, as he threatened a classmate and a partner while on it. The speaker argues that tren's side effects are often underestimated and that most users would achieve similar results with testosterone alone, without the severe psychological risks.

The Caffeine Plot Twist (over 400 mg was healthier than 0 mg!?)

Caffeinated coffee, even above the FDA's 400 mg guideline, is linked to lower risks of cardiometabolic multimorbidity and neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson's, with the caffeine itself being the key driver. The speaker argues that the 400 mg limit is based on a body weight multiplier for a smaller person and that benefits persist up to about four cups, though very high intake (eight cups) may double Alzheimer's risk. He also notes that caffeinated coffee reduces arrhythmia risk and DNA damage, while decaf lacks these effects.

Bryan Johnson's $25,000 Follistatin Gene Therapy - Dissecting The Results

Bryan Johnson reports that his follistatin gene therapy raised his serum follistatin levels by 160% two weeks after injection, but after four months he has not seen changes in glucose, insulin, A1c, or lipids, and the therapy's upside remains unproven. The host critiques the therapy's $25,000 cost and notes that the phase 1 trial showed only modest lean mass gains and some negative metabolic markers, arguing that results are less impressive than social media hype suggests. Johnson defends his team's rigorous statistical approach and says they plan to try two more gene therapies if safety thresholds are met.

Crippling ‘Ballerina Feet’ Claw Syndrome From Limb Lengthening Surgery (6’0” → 6’6”)

The speaker argues that limb lengthening surgery becomes exponentially more difficult beyond 5 centimeters, with the main complication being equinus contracture, or 'ballerina feet,' where the foot is forced onto tiptoes and toes clench painfully. He explains that up to 5 cm, most patients have few issues, but beyond that, the condition worsens dramatically, as he experienced personally, requiring extensive physiotherapy to regain normal foot function. He recommends stopping at 5 cm based on his own experience and observations.
