They should be blazing fast now. Most reasonably medium sized channels (200-500 videos) should finish importing in 1-2 minutes.

The fix was looking at the dependency that I was blindly trusting for fetching the transcripts, whereby Claude Code revealed that unnecessary calls were being made that could be hard-coded/cached.
