Padre Pio's Wounds Were Gone When He Died

The speaker argues that Padre Pio's stigmata cannot be explained as acid burns, citing their persistence for 50 years, the absence of infection and swelling, and their complete healing at death. He also defends the credibility of eyewitness testimony, such as Dr. Romanelli's palpation of a void through the hands, and contends that the evidence for Catholic miracles is often simple and accessible without complex historical analysis.

A Real Miracle Caught on Camera?

The speaker argues that the stigmata of Mirna Akhras, a Lebanese woman, are authentic supernatural phenomena, citing medical doctors and biologists who witnessed wounds spontaneously opening and healing. He highlights the 1987 case where a 12 cm wound on her side completely healed overnight, and the 1990 case where a neurologist observed wounds forming from within the skin. The speaker acknowledges skeptical hypotheses but contends that the coordination with Easter and the spontaneous reopening of wounds are difficult to explain naturally.

The Police Tried to Debunk Her Miracle. They Couldn't.

The speaker argues that the 1982 Sufania miracle, where oil exuded from an icon and a woman's hands, is supported by hostile witnesses and controlled conditions, making fraud implausible. He details how Syrian intelligence officers, after washing and drying the woman's hands, observed oil pouring forth, and even a doctor stated there was no medical explanation. The speaker also notes that oil exuded from copies of the icon far away, suggesting a supernatural origin.

Jesus Was Asked the Exact Question of This Debate

The speaker argues that justification is by faith alone, not by observing the law, including the Ten Commandments, citing Galatians 3:10 to show that relying on law-keeping for salvation brings a curse. He contends that Jesus' command to 'do this and you will live' in Luke 10:25-28 is not a path to salvation for imperfect humans but a means to expose sin and drive people to Christ. The Catholic interlocutor maintains that grace enables cooperation with the law, but the speaker insists that Christ's perfect obedience is imputed to believers, not infused.

The Priest From the Viral Mass Just Returned to the Altar

Father Bowman's first mass back at St. Gabriel after his viral consecration was unremarkable, which the speaker argues is the point. The homily, drawn from the day's readings about Job and the child in Luke, teaches that true faith loves God for who he is, not for the gifts he gives. The speaker suggests that Father Bowman's calm return, without seeking another extraordinary experience, exemplifies this lesson.
