Coinmetro Tech Fireside Status AMA

CoinMetro is pivoting from a licensed exchange to a tech provider, leasing its proprietary software and IP to other companies, with the first client being a Maltese stablecoin-focused savings platform. Kevin Murcko argues this model maximizes creditor repayment by minimizing overhead, as shareholders cover costs and revenue flows directly to creditors. He notes that while the exchange will not return, the tech can generate more revenue through multiple clients than a single exchange ever could.

Coinmetro Fireside Status AMA

CoinMetro's appeal to initiate reorganization is now before the Estonian court of appeal, with a ruling expected in one to three months. The company is proactively drafting a reorganization plan that will compare creditor outcomes under reorganization versus bankruptcy, and any repayments will be in euros. There is a possibility that certain tokens like THT could be returned one-to-one if it does not harm other creditors, but this is still under consideration.

Coinmetro Fireside Status AMA

Coinmetro is transitioning from a licensed exchange to a tech provider, licensing its intellectual property to a separate Malta-based entity to generate revenue for repaying creditors. The CEO argues this reorganization offers the best recovery compared to bankruptcy, with a target launch for the new entity by end of November. All creditors will be treated equally, and the repayment plan will be detailed in a court-supervised reorganization plan.

Coinmetro Fireside Status AMA

Coinmetro's CEO Kevin Murko reports that the Estonian court rejected the company's reorganization application, but he argues this is a setback, not a dead end. He outlines a plan to pivot Coinmetro into a tech provider, licensing its intellectual property to a new Malta-based entity, with the goal of generating revenue to repay creditors. Murko emphasizes that the company will continue pursuing repayment through revenue and capital injections, regardless of the court's decision on appeal.

Status AMA with Kevin Murcko

Coinmetro's CEO Kevin Murcko argues that the company's court-supervised reorganization in Estonia, similar to a US Chapter 11, is the best path for creditors to recover funds, as liquidation would likely yield only single-digit percentages due to illiquid assets. The plan involves converting Coinmetro into an IT company that licenses its technology to a new Maltese entity, with 50-55% of topline revenue going back to claimants, plus fresh capital injections. Murcko emphasizes that the process is transparent and court-verified, but notes that recovery is not guaranteed and will take 3-5 years.
