Day 40 - 40 Day Eucharistic Deliverance Fr. Daniel Poovannathil

Fr. Daniel Poovannathil concludes his 40-day Eucharistic deliverance journey by presenting quotations from Church fathers and saints affirming the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist, such as St. Ignatius of Antioch and St. Francis of Assisi. He warns that after such a spiritual journey, participants may face intense temptations in areas like the flesh, money, and pride, and encourages them to remain vigilant and prayerful. He also leads a deliverance prayer, renouncing demonic influences and asking for the Holy Spirit's filling.

Day 39 - 40 Day Eucharistic Deliverance Fr. Daniel Poovannathil

Fr. Daniel Poovannathil argues that the Last Supper and the crucifixion are one single sacrifice, with Jesus deliberately leaving the fourth cup of the Passover meal unfinished in the upper room and completing it on the cross. He explains that the fourth cup, the cup of praise, represents Jesus' death, and that by drinking wine just before dying and declaring "It is finished," Jesus fulfilled the Passover sacrifice. The practical takeaway is that everything Christ obtained on the cross is received by believers in the Eucharist, so all sorrows and pains can be placed on the altar.

Day 38 - 40 Day Eucharistic Deliverance Fr. Daniel Poovannathil

The Eucharist is a sacrifice because it re-presents the one sacrifice of Christ on the cross, not repeating it but making it present sacramentally. Fr. Daniel Poovannathil argues that the bloody sacrifice of Calvary cannot be repeated, so Jesus instituted the Eucharist under the signs of bread and wine, and the Mass is our participation in the perpetual heavenly sacrifice of the Lamb. He also emphasizes that in the Eucharist, Christ is truly present in body, blood, soul, and divinity.

Day 37 - 40 Day Eucharistic Deliverance Fr. Daniel Poovannathil

Fr. Daniel Poovannathil argues that Eucharistic adoration is a form of reparation, repairing the rejection Jesus experiences in the world. He explains that even a minute spent before the Blessed Sacrament is precious and joins with Christ's intercessory prayer, and he illustrates the power of adoration with the story of Mary and Martha, where Mary's prayer at Jesus' feet moved him to raise Lazarus.

Day 36 - 40 Day Eucharistic Deliverance Fr. Daniel Poovannathil

Fr. Daniel Poovannathil argues that the Catholic Church's official teachings on the Eucharist, from the Council of Trent to Pope Francis, are essential for preserving the true faith and avoiding divisions caused by personal interpretation. He highlights key documents like the Catechism of the Catholic Church (paragraphs 1322-1419) as accessible resources for understanding the Eucharist as sacrifice, sacrament, and real presence. He concludes by urging viewers to love and serve their parish as a concrete act of devotion, suggesting simple tasks like cleaning or praying there.
