How I Organize My Workflow with Lucid Software

Mapping a creative team's workflow in Lucid Chart and connecting it to an AI assistant via the MCP server lets the AI analyze where work gets stuck and propose process improvements. The speaker demonstrates this by having the AI flag that thumbnails wait for edits and that scripts are never locked, then using the AI to create an improved workflow with parallel tasks and clear owners. This turns the diagram into live documentation that the AI can read and update, making the process visible and actionable.

AI Killed Good Web Design

AI-generated websites converge on a generic design—purple gradients, rounded cards, and predictable layouts—because AI models repeat patterns that became dominant through human copying, not because AI invented them. The speaker traces this to 2007's iPhone and the rise of responsive design, which led to frameworks like Bootstrap and Tailwind that packaged popular design choices into reusable code, amplifying a few human decisions across the web. He argues that while this 'memetic overdrive' is often fine for small projects, larger products need designers who can choose what fits their users rather than defaulting to the familiar.

I Built MyFitnessPal's Largest Feature in One Prompt

The speaker argues that an autonomous AI coding platform can build a large, production-ready feature with minimal human oversight, as demonstrated by generating a meal planner for a macro tracking app in 11 days. The key mechanism is the platform's six-step process, which includes analyzing the existing codebase, creating a detailed tech spec, and generating an action plan before writing code. The speaker notes that while the AI produced a working feature, it required human review and fixes for UI issues, and that the process is not a complete replacement for manual coding.
